The procurement Department has been in existence since June, 1998.  Mrs. Herminia O. Hernandez is the Procurement Director and Mr. Ramon Esquivel is the Procurement Assistant.  The procurement's administration and responsibilities assure that goods, services and construction are procured efficiently, effectively and at the most favorable prices for the BHA.  Procurement administration also provides safeguards in maintaining a system of quality, integrity and compliance with Federal standards, HUD regulations, state, and local laws.  The Procurement Department maintains documented history of each purchase of regular maintenance materials, Capital Fund materials, dwelling equipment, non-dwelling equipment, services, computer equipment, office supplies plus any other purchases necessary for the agency.  The Procurement Department tags and records all assets.  We also conduct annual inventories of all fixed assets.
