WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Public housing is limited to low-income families and individuals. An HA determines your eligibility based on: 1) annual gross income, 2) whether you qualify as elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family, and 3) U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status. If you are eligible, the HA will check your references to make sure you and your family will be good tenants. HAs will deny admission to any applicant whose habits and practices may be expected to have a detrimental effect on other tenants or on the developments environment.

Notice of intent to open waiting list for public housing program Brownsville housing authority

The Brownsville Housing Authority intends to open the Public Housing Program's "Waiting List" for Project III (Citrus Gardens/Citrus Gardens Annex) to the general public for individuals qualifying for two (2) and three (3) bedroom units on the second Tuesday of every month, commencing on Tuesday, December 12, 2006. Interested persons may apply at the Citrus Gardens office, 2600 Grapefruit, Brownsville , Texas , on the second Tuesday of each month.
